#327 New Holland - Red Tulip

There is a malty caramel aroma with notes of grain. The color is a dark red with some haze allowing only a little light through. The head pours thin and has little retention.

The taste is very malty with lots of caramel and and grain flavors. There is also a tea or thin coffee taste to this beer with a bit of tannin flavor. This beer starts with some sweetness but quickly dries out. There is a bit of bitterness blending with the tannin flavor, but no real hop presence. The mouthfeel is light with a moderate carbonation. The finish is grainy and dry

This is a really enjoyable beer, a good malt flavor with plenty of complexity. Just an all around tasty enjoyable beer.
