#314 Harvey & Sons - Imperial Extra Double Stout

What a mouthful of a name for this beer / style only word missing is export, but that is kind of the same as imperial. The bottle has a story about Albert Le Coq, a Belgian in the 1800's that exported imperial stout from England to Russia.

This beer has a strong sour aroma, I do think that this is beer is supposed to have wild yeast. The color is black with out any light getting through. The head pours medium but has very little retention.

There is a lot of wild yeast funk in this beer. I think this bottle is infected, this is by no means a Imperial Extra Double Stout, this is a sour beer. Horse blanket and wild yeast sourness is the only flavor present in this beer.

This beer is clearly infected. Checking other reviews on Beer Advocate this beer is not supposed to be sour, and I don't like sour beers.
