Not sure what style a "Dark Ale" is, I guess something along the line of stout or porter.
The aroma rich and malty with a molasses note. The color is black with red highlights shining through. The head is medium with good retention keeping the beer well covered.
The taste is malty, with a roasted taste, like food cooked over a campfire. The is an ever so slight hint of hops along with an equally slight bitterness. The malt has a little residue sweetness keeping the beer from being dry. There is some tannin flavors present but they are overshadowed by the roasted malt. The mouthfeel is smooth and creamy. The finish is roasty with a hint of sweet.
This is a really tasty beer, I really like roasted campfire taste. I've really enjoy the beers from this brewery.
