#306 Abita - Purple Haze

I really like the name of this beer, it's fun and creative. Purple from the raspberry and hazy from this being a wheat beer, and hazy.

This beer has a strong what beer aroma with plenty of fruit notes. The color is a hazy orange, or tan. The head pours thin, surprising for a wheat beer, must be the raspberry.

The taste of this beer is fruity with strong berry flavors. There is also a wheat beer taste but with almost no yeast taste. The mouthfeel is smooth and full with tons of carbonation. The finish is clean with a hint of fruit.

This is a really tasty beer. Sometimes I don't like beers with fruit added but this one taste like real fruit. The wheat beer flavor of this beer is still clear and enjoyable.
