#305 Abita - Amber

This beer has a rich caramel malt aroma with a hint of spice from hops and an ever so slight fruit aroma. The color is a dark amber with some orange highlight. The head pours well behaved and low and stays just barely covering the beer.

The taste is lightly malty with caramel flavors and some tannins. There is very little sweetness to this beer, and it quick drys out. The hops bring some bitterness and some spice flavors. The mouthfeel is medium full with some carbonation. The finish is dry with a tannin taste.

This is a pretty tasty beer, a little too dry, but still very enjoyable. This is by far the best Abita I've had, maybe this one isn't old?
