#52 Steinlager - Imported premium lager

Steinlager is made in New Zealand and seems to be a big sponsor of sports events. Steinlager has even sponsored rugby teams in America. They make a Steinlager light which is low alcohol, a Steinlager Super Cold which is server at 32 degree fahrenheit, and a Pure which is marketed at a more premium version of the classic.

This beer has a well balanced malt and hop smell, with a little bit of sourness. The color is a clear yellow beer color, with a nice big head of foam. There are plenty of bubbles coming up from the bottom. This is a very traditional looking beer when poured.

The taste is also traditional. Some malt sweetness, and notes of hops throughout. No taste very strong, just well rounded taste. There is a little sourness present in the beer that I think is caused by the green glass it is bottled in. Even with the sourness this beer still finishes clean and refreshing.

This is a good straight forward lager. A little sweeter that I prefer, but I find that a lot with the morn traditional beers.
