This Bitburger is imported from Germany, they only sell 3 types of beer and none are a clear beer styles. I really like the labels on the German beers, they are very old traditional style labels, nothing exciting like most modern craft beers.
This beer starts with a sweet smell with a light hint of hops and maybe a touch of yeast. It has a nice gold color that I can see through but there is still a slight haze in the beer. There is a little foam but it doesn't have much head resistance.
This beer has a full sweet taste, but finishes dry. The hops are balanced against the sweetness but I think there is still too much sweetness. There is a bitter finishing taste in this beer that wipes out the sweet malt. This beer has a nice medium body mouth feel.
This beer reminds me of other light German beers. Sweet but a bitter taste in the end and not to complex. I see why dark heavy beers are what most people think about when they talk about German beers.
