#280 Highland Brewing - Black Mocha Stout

This stout as a roasted malt aroma with a hint of coffee. The color is defiantly black, without any light getting through. The foam is very low, just a slight covering on the top of the beer.

There is a pronounced roasted taste to this stout, almost camp fire roasted taste with only a slight coffee flavor. The bitterness is clear with a suggestion of hop flavor and slight tannins. The mouthfeel is full and effervescent. This beer finishes with some roast flavor and a hint of bitterness.

This is an ok beer, so far my favorite from Highland Brewing company. I like coffee stouts, but this isn't really a coffee stout, it's just a really dark stout.
